PUBLICATION SUCCESS!
Every writer dreams of having their work published somewhere. After more than a year of writing and editing my manuscript
"High School Heroes", it is finally done and has been accepted for publication with L & L Dreamspell Publications. We are very
excited about this over here. However, I know that the work on this project has only just begun. Even though the book will not be
out until sometime over the summer (at the very earliest), I must now begin the promotion process.
Though right in my grasp, publication seems like something incredibly far away. As I begin this process, I will keep you up to
date with what I'm doing, and how I'm getting there. Hopefully, my own first time battle with promotion will help you out. Check
back often, as over the next few months, I plan on going through step by step, what I'm doing to ensure that when my book is
finally released, it will be a success.
For those of you who have been to my website before, the first thing you will probably notice is the fact that this site has radically
changed. Among the new sections, and the brand new blog, there is also an entire section now dedicated to "High School
Heroes".
The thing you have to know about websites is making it accessible in search engines, and that means finding the best
keywords possible. For example, just simply having Blog as one of my keywords wouldn't be enough. With the number of blogs
on the web today, my chances of coming up high on a search engine by someone simply typing in blog on into Google is next to
nothing. So, adding in extra words, "Writer's Blog", "Writing Blog", "Author Blog", "Writing Advice Blog" and such will help me be
narrowed in the search. It still doesn't guarantee I'm going to come up on the first page, but it's a step in the right direction.
