SLOW MONTH
Yes, as my title suggests, this has been a very slow month. However, I have been keeping myself busy, even if my promotion
efforts have seemed to stall. The problem is, other than continue the efforts I've already been putting forth - submitting to blog
directories, keeping Facebook updated, trying to get my stuff seen on as many websites as possible. The problem is, at the
moment, I'm waiting for my publisher to start the production process of High School Heroes, and until that happens, I don't know
what else I can do. Even though I am still seeking other avenues of promotion.
At the moment, I can say that I have a few more short stories coming out, in A Thousand Faces, where I've been published
before, along with Aphelion, an online sci-fi magazine and Worlds Beyond, another sci-fi anthology put out by the Comic Artists
Guild (of which I recently posted the cover image on my homepage). Unfortunately, for those who consistently read this blog,
this isn't so much new news as it is a rehash of what I've explained already.
I have been featured on the Robins Falls: Red River Writers Blog Tour. It's just a little bit about me with a link to this site, but it is
still putting me out there.
I have looked into a website that does banners and book trailers and other such promotions - for a fee of course - but they aren't
all that expensive, so I may just give them a try, but I won't post anything else about them until I take a closer look. After all,
there's no reason for me to pass on the info if they turn out to be crap.
As far as the book trailer I was working on for with my students, it is still in production, we have one good script that will be shot
in the next couple of weeks. I'm just trying to coordinate with the other teachers. Though I have to say, I have ended up having to
do a lot more legwork on this than I thought I would. But hey, like they say, nothing is every truly FREE is it? While I'm not
technically paying for the trailer with any money. I am certainly paying for it with time. But hey, if I get somethign quality out of this,
it will be well worth it.
Well, I have my second meeting with The Life Journey's Writer's Club this evening. I will talk all about it in my blog tomorrow. And
yes, I promise there will be an entry tomorrow. I have neglected my blog too much this month and shall be posting much more
this week.
