GETTING MY TRAILER NOTICED

If you’ve been reading my blog, you know that I’ve put up my book trailer, which took me several months to get done, up on
YouTube. But, like driving web traffic to my site, I needed to do a couple of things to get people to the trailer on YouTube.

Funnily enough, it turns out that pretty much the same things were required. Coming up with a great description, title and ____
words, so that when people do a search on YouTube, or even Google, my video will come up. Posting on Facebook, and in my
writing forums. Emailing a few people. All of this, has gotten nearly 150 views in five days.

The video has no chance of going “viral” as they say, but plenty of people have watched it, and a number of them have clicked
and returned to my website. I won’t be doing much more to promote the video, because it seems that anything more I could do
would entail a sum of money. As we get closer to my book’s release, I plan on hitting the web with a second trailer. With the two
trailers online, it should hopefully give me enough hits to sell a few books.

The next thing I need to look into is how to actually drum up excitement for the book. I really want to get people aching to read it
before the book even hits shelves. This isn’t going to be an easy task, but I think it’s doable. We’ll see what happens.

Until next time: ‘Tis Vigo. You are nothing but the buzzing of flies to him!
