Indie Bookstores

From what I hear, many of the chain stores like Barnes & Noble and Borders are very reluctant to have first
time authors grace their hallowed halls with a book signing. Not that I'm not going to try to get myself into some
of these stores, but I want to fortify my chances with something else.

Independent Bookstores.

Now, I love going into indie bookstores, they have all the books your chain will have, but they generally have
other items as well that you might not find in the larger stores. It is unfortunate that in my area, there aren't
any nearby that I could just drive to to browse around for an hour or so.

There are plenty of these bookstores out there, but what it really boils down to is, how do you find them? Sure,
you probably know of any that are within a few miles of where you live, but just selling books in your hometown
isn't going to do you much good in the long run.

So, I decided to search for some independent bookstores. I know it's a bit early to start booking, but as least I
can get a list together of where I'd want to try and get signings done. So, a simple search led me to this
website:

You can search anywhere in the United States and find all the nearby Indie bookstores. It is a great tool and
perfect for any first time author. So, get on and give the site a look.

More updates soon.
