ANOTHER ARTIST NEEDED

The biggest problem when dealing with an artist that you're not paying, is that you have nothing to hold over their head when
they decide the no longer want to do the project. Even though things seemed to be progeressing well with Scott, he has decided
to drop off the comic I had been posting updates about. I understand why Scott can no longer work on it (though I will not reveal
his reasoning), and I also understand that there is just nothing I can do about it.

So, the search begins again for another artist.

While I am looking for a new artist for this comic, that I wholeheartedly believe is a good promotional strategy, I am thinking of
another use for these artists I am looking for. Why can't one of them do a book cover? Now, most book publishers usually prefer
to use their own people for their book covers. But it can't hurt to ask. When the time comes to begin working on the book cover
(which should be soon - couple months?) I am going to bring it up with the people at Dreamspell for my book
High School
Heroes. It can't hurt. And if they say no, they say no - no hard feelings.

However, I am just going to say, that if you are self-publishing, you should definitely check out one of the websites listed below
for an artist. Some might ask for money, but many others will do it for free.

So, I have been searching, and I have a few candidates for this comic. I am determined to get this done before the novel is
published. So, I am going to keep pushing ahead. With so many teens into mangas and anime, I believe a short comic is just
the thing to get people talking and get them excited about what is happening. I think it will be even better if - when I submit it into
the competition and it gets selected for the website (I say when only to be optimistic) then thousands of people will see it. So,
this is something I really want to get done.

I will say that if you are doing a book for young adults, definitely get a short comic done. It is so worth the effort.
